Pat White's Bio:

Pat White has been involved in various dog sports for nearly 20 years. As a teenager, she began training and showing quarter horses at the national level.  She married, had three children and her interests moved to teaching soccer and little league.  She and her husband (of 33 years!!) purchased their first Golden Retriever for the family in 1988 and Pat was hooked on dog training when she attended her first obedience class!!  She began teaching and showing in obedience two years later.

Pat has advanced titles in competition obedience and agility many times over!! She has earned two Obedience Trial Championship (OTCh) titles on two of her Golden Retrievers, three Utility Dog Excellent titles (UDX), six perfect scores of 200 on three different dogs, over fifty High in Trial awards,  thirty plus High Combined awards, and multiple Agility Championships (MACH) on her dogs.  Additionally, she has been ranked nationally in obedience and agility with multiple dogs.  She also has completely trained and handled three of her goldens to Master Hunter titles and three Tracking Dog Excellent titles. Ted, her oldest competitive dog, is currently one of the most titled Golden Retrievers in the country sporting an OTCH, MACH7, VCD3, TDX and MH.  Pat's ability to cross train her dogs in many disciplines demonstrates that a good working foundation can take you to the top in any performance venue.

Pat has trained with some of the world's top trainers for many years, attending seminars and working with Sylvia Bishop (from England), Susan Garrett (Canada), Greg Derrett (England), Nancy Gyes and Kathie Leggett (California)  and Bobbie Anderson (Oregon).  Her style of training is motivational but has a no nonsense, bottom line foundation, emphasizing developing a relationship with your dog which will make you successful in any sport!!  Training with these top-level obedience and agility trainers has given Pat the depth of experience and tools to work with her own dogs, and pass it along to her own students through group and private lessons and her successful obedience seminars.  Pat's dogs are always consistent and eager to work.  They give her 110% whether it is tracking, obedience, agility or hunt tests.
